Relson Gracie will be visiting North Florida and Cape Coral in early August, be on the lookout for updates on official dates and times! We will keep you posted through our website, Facebook, twitter and at our Academies.
Video conferencing technology has been set in place at the St.Augustine Academy. The newest amenity to the Academy is a 61″ Flat screen to watch techniques and events. We also have the ability to completely interact with other Relson Gracie Academies across the nation each week. This gives our Academy a fun peak in the way things are being done with training and technique at our sister locations. The tighter knit we can be with each association the better!
Phil Cardella has been invited by Garth Spendiff to prepare the All Army Combative’s Team in Ft.Stewart Georgia for their up and coming tournament. His second 5 day training cycle will be this coming week. Phil has also been called upon and will fly out to help the Fort Bliss team prepare for the Army Combative’s Tournament in El Paso, TX. It will be an intensive 3 day training session on July 10th through the 12th. As a prior service member Phil see’s the value in keeping our Military forces combat ready.
Our newest Relson Gracie students that train in Cape Coral, Florida are training hard and looking forward to Relson’s first visit to the city. Several students from the St.Augustine and Black Belt Instructor John-Michael Quesinberry of Fight Science in Flagler Beach have traveled south to the Cape to train with our newest members. The camaraderie and the team moral the last couple of months has been high!
Several belt promotions in the past two months should be recognized. Congratulations to Carl Vickery who was promoted to Brown Belt, Laura Atkins to Blue Belt, Ryan Shaffer to Blue Belt, and Blake Destout to Yellow/White! Great job, keep up the hard work and dedication.
